Last Session; December 21:

The guest band was Ted Shafer's Jelly Roll Jazz Band . This was the best afternoon of traditional jazz I have heard in a long time. These guys play the real thing with feeling. The listeners and dancers both had a great time. Their two trumpet front line is very reminiscent of Joe “King” Oliver

Dick Williams had a great line up of jammers and I think the music of Ted Shafer influenced them. They sounded better than usual. The amount of talent was amazing, check the updated list of jammers on this site for a list of names. It sounds like a list of who's who in Bay Area traditional jazz.

Next Session, Januqry 25:

The guest band will be Bob Schultz's Frisco Jazz Band . They are becoming our January band of choice to kick off the New Year. They are a great band and will put on a great show as usual. Bob Schultz is a world class player and has a lot of talent to join him.
